Snow & Ice - A Hitsugaya Tale (Chapter 10)
"I'll go!" She almost shouted. Her words resonated in Hitsugaya's mind.
He held back the urge to stop her, and instead responded with the slow raise of his hand. She looked over with a satisfied smile on her face. He had set her up! Before he could revoke his decision Head Captain Yamamoto spoke
"9th Squad Captain Hirataka, and 10th Squad Captain Hitsugaya, you will head out as soon as a senkimon can be opened. You are all dismissed. I suggest that you two get ready for your journey."
Hitsugaya walked back to his barracks. His was fuming.
Alice: This was serious. The Head Captain was asking for volunteers. Alice was satisfied, she had managed to get Toshiro to go as well. She would feel much safer if he were there. She went to her barracks and informed her squad of the coming events.
"Hisagi will stay here and lead if an attack were to come while i was still away. I don't need to tell you that he is granted every power i have until my return."
She went to her office to finish up the last of her paper work. Who were these bounts? And what reason did they have to attack? Alice was probably just as confused as the next guy. But something told her good things were far from them. And with Aizen still out there, anytime they could be faced with two major enemies. This needed to be taken care of, and fast!

Snow & Ice - A Hitsugaya Tale (Chapter 9)
Alice: Alice walked slowly to the seat. She sat down with difficulty. It had taken so much out of her to come here. She was still unsure of what she should do. She tried her best to gather up courage but struggled. Finally Hitsugaya broke the silence. "Its Captain Hitsugaya..." Alice let out a small smile. He could still say that huh? She laughed a little. They were both being silly.
"Hitsugaya, this is awkward."
"Yeah" He agreed.
"I wanted to let you know, I wasn’t upset. I was sort of happy. And well, Thanks a bunch." Same old, same old. She went back to her normal self. Maybe, this way things could move forward? She could only hope.
Toshiro: Toshiro looked up at Alice. She was making an effort. Which was more then he could do. He was about to open his mouth when a siren let loose. They both scrambled to the window. Outside squads had started to separate. They looked at each other and after a quick nod Hirataka rushed to her own barracks.
"Captain!" Rangiku came running.
"What’s going on?"
"Someone's invaded the seritei! Yamamoto's calling for all captains."
"Assemble the squad and wait for my orders!"
"Yes, Captain." Hitsugaya flashed as fast as he could to the 1st squad barracks. He was one of the first to arrive. Hirataka was not yet there. He took his place in line.
Alice: When Alice got back to her barracks Hisagi had everyone assembled. "Capitan there calling for you" She told him to standby and was once again fleeing. She made her way to the 1st squad barracks. When she arrived Most everyone was there. She took her stand next to Hitsugaya and waited for the remaining captains to arrive. Head Captain Yamamoto started.
"The alarm has been set off, but we can not find the perpetrator. When have reason to believe he or she has already left the seritei. The substitute soul reaper Ichigo Kurosaki has been working with Yoruichi on the world of the living. They have already fought off many bounts. Renji, 6th Squad lieutenant, has been sent already, but we require more. Any Volunteers?"

Snow & Ice - A Hitsugaya Tale (Chapter 8)
Alice: Alice stared back at Hitsugaya without really knowing what to do. Hitsugaya moved away from her. His face was red and he quickly met her eyes only to look away twice as fast. She too, averted her eyes. She could feel her face heating up. "Umm...Uh, Its okay." She tried to start a conversation up.
"I have a lot of p..paper work to get to." Hitsugaya quickly left her alone again. Alice breathed out. Her heart was racing. She stood in awe for a moment before deciding to head back and get her own paper work done.
Toshiro: Toshiro practically ran back to his office. And just his luck, Rangiku, as if on cue, was waiting for him. "Capitan, whats up!" She greeted him with far to much
enthusiasm for the moment. "Rangiku, I don't have time for this!" He wanted to get rid of her as fast as he could. "Hey, wheres Capitan Hirataka?" At the sound of her name Toshiro's face heated up once more. He was afraid Rangiku would notice and sure enough she started up once more. "Capitan? Aww did something happen?" She immediately got in his face and pressed for details. He tried his best to hid his face.
Alice: Alice paced her office. Many times she was visited but she asked to be alone. Hisagi stood at her door. He had refused to leave.
"Capitain you look flustered. Are you alright."
"Hisagi, i promise i'm fine!"
"Well you don't look fine, and i think Hitsugaya would agree."
Alice looked up so fast she almost hurt herself.
"How..How do you know that?" She was nervous.
"You and Captain Hitsugaya should be more discrete when youdecideto do something like that Ma'm."
Toshiro: Toshiro pleaded with Rangiku to drop the subject. But she wouldn't budge.
"Me and Hirataka had a run-in thats it!"
He was starting to become angry when a knock at the door distracted him. Rangiku ran to the door and almost fell over laughing. When she moved away Hitsugaya's heart stopped. Alice was standing there looking as nervous as he felt.
"Hi!"
"Umm, Rangiku please go do your work."
With a smile and a nod she promptly left the room. He was alone again with her.
"Toshiro, ummm can i talk to you?"
"Sure" He showed her to a seat.

Snow & Ice - A Hitsugaya Tale (Chapter 7)
Alice: Alice walked quickly through the 10th squad barracks as she tried to make sure no one noticed her tears. When she finally got outside she thought back to the last time she was this upset. Her motherhadn'tcome home that night and she was worried, so she stayed awake...
Flashback:"Don't look at me like that," her mother screamed. The alcohol on her breath was strong and Alice had an urge to cover her nose but she held back. "Why?" was all her mother repeated for the next several hours. Before dawn had come, her mother had passed out. She finally let the tears poor. She was hurt. Alice went shopping while her mother slept and tried to understand why the events had played out like they had. The cut on her cheek stung and she wished she could afford a little remedy. Lost in thought she hadn't noticed the two soul reapers on her tail. They slowly made there way for her and she let out a scream. They quickly led her away from the crowd and calmed her down.
"Shhhh," they pleaded "We wont hurt you" Alice noticed the logo on the inside of one of there kimonos. They were 9th squad members. She soon ran out of stamina and calmed down. They let go of her and she scrambled away.
"We come for good reason, your spiritual pressure brought us." The one that had grabbed her first spoke up.
"Wh..What do you mean?" She asked.
The other one started to speak "You are strong for someone so young, we expected you to be much older. Do you know of your power?"
"I..I dont, what are you talking about?"
"Little one, please dont be frightend, when you are a little older you will dream, and then we will be back."
With those words the men disappeared and left with her a small charm. She held onto it until the men returned. When they did they took there charm. But she wouldn't let it go.
"We are glad you kept this, you will now train yourself to become a soul reaper, this charm only hinders your growth." She let them have it.
After those departing words she never saw those soul reapers again. It was if they had abandoned her. She cried for a long time.
Alice: She thought back on the crude feeling of the two soul reapers leaving her, and the slap delivered so long ago. After the encounter her mother treated her as a stranger. And she too abandoned Alice. Now Hitsugaya had left her. She had never seen him that angry at her. He was sure to hate her. She was alone, and for the first time in many years she cried.
Toshiro: Toshiro thought hard on his decision to do that to Hirataka. She didnt even send a message to tell him she would be late. Sure they hadnt had a set time to meet but he had hoped she would come early. After thinking on it for a while he decided to check on her. He hoped she wasnt far off. Toshiro quickly ran to the door and scaned the hallway. She had left the barracks. He gathered his courge and ran as fast as he could. Just before he got outside he heard someone crying. He went to the source and saw Hirataka curled up and sobbing. Had he hurt her this much? He started to argue with himself on what to do. He was scared she might be angry. When she looked up he jumped. "What" she said with such a sad tone.
"Are you okay?" He hesitated with the question.
"I don't know why i am upset, just don't worry." She was trying to brush him off, but he wouldn't let her.
He picked her up off her feet and looked her straight in the eyes. They were sad looking, giving him all the more courage to say what he needed to.
"Hira..Alice, I'm sorry" He looked at her waiting for a sign of approval. He was beggining to think she wouldn't give, when a small but visible smile sneaked its way in. The without even realizing it, Toshiro grabbed her and kissed her.

Suki Desu - Episode 1 - I am Kai!
Kai walked to her class. It was so quite. Eri had just disappeared and had been gone all lunch! Break was almost over. Kai sulked she was so lonely! When she got to the classroom she saw Ryuu in the corner. She had never really talked to him. In fact he was almost never home. She sat in her seat and laid her head down on the desk. “Kai!!!” Eri came running in, stopping to hug her brother, and then rushed over to Kai. “Kai lets start a club.” Kai looked up shocked. “Excuse me? You wanna what?” Kai looked at her puzzled. “Umm Eri are you alright?” Eri looked up from the sheet she was holding. She stood up and ruffled her long brown hair a bit. “Kai, come on!” She grabbed Kai’s hand and ran to the club building. In the very back was an empty room. Eri unlocked the door. (Obviously using her powers from the student council) “This will be our new club room!” Eri squealed. Kai was still confused. “I’m sorry?? We are joining a club?”
“No, we are starting a club. Come on it will be fun. We get to help people.”
“What’s our name?”
“Well, I haven’t figured that out yet but doesn’t it seem fun?”
Kai sighed. She could guess this was gonna be a lot of work. After school she met Eri in the club room. “Alright I know what we are gonna call this club!” Eri started up immediately. “We are Suki!” Kai looked at her with a sad expression. “Suki? Why? Are we a love club or something?” Eri giggled. “Yup, we sure are! And I know who are first victim will be. I’m the club president so I will oversee all activities, but you will be our lover!”
“Our what?” Kai wanted to jump out the window. She hated love.
“You will help our customers fall in love, using your own charm!”
“Then wouldn’t they fall for me?”
Eri giggled again. “No silly, they will fall in love with whoever you set them up, like a matchmaker!”
Kai got up and walked away. “Kai!!!” Eri whined. “Wait!”
“No, I don’t think so.”
“But, Kai!” She grabbed Kai’s shirt and pulled. “Kai, one week! Please just one week!”
She stopped, she loved Eri to death. They had been best friends for years. They had lived together since Kai’s parents had died in middle school. She sighed. “Alright, I’ll help, but after one week, if I don’t like it, I’m gone!” She headed home, not waiting for Eri to catch up. She went straight to her room and hid under the covers. Her head hurt. She dozed off before long……
“Kai? Kai? Wake up Kai!” When Kai opened her eyes Eri was looking over her crying. She sat up quickly. It looked like a lot of time had passed. It was dark. “Eri? Are you okay?” She was worried, she looked so upset.
“I found……I found the perfect candidate for our first job!” Kai went back to her sleeping position. This had to be a joke. Was this really important enough to wake her up crying over. Sheesh, Eri was a handful. The next morning Kai was the first to wake up. She looked across the room where Eri’s bed was at. She was still asleep. Kai walked downstairs almost bumping into someone at the table. Ryuu looked up at her. He grabbed his toast and left without saying another word. It was so weird. For some reason he didn’t seem to like Kai. She never knew why. She took some milk and toast from the fridge and chowed down before she woke Eri up. Later after school that day, Eri and Kai meet in the club room. Kai started.
“Alright who’s our first victim?” She asked with half interest.
“My brother!” Eri let go of a loud squeal. She had been holding it in a long time.
Kai almost choked, “Your brother? Why?”
“Because, he is perfect. Not many people understand him but that’s okay! As long as he finds love he will be find. First we need to get him ready! Me and Dad are going on a trip for a week in America, this should give you plenty of time…..” Eri continued on but Kai tuned her out. America? When had this been decided? “Kai? Are you listing to me?”
“Huh? Yeah. Okay, well how come Ryuu isn’t coming?”
“Dad and I don’t want him to! He needs to stay home!”
Kai was shocked by the tome in her voice. She backed off a bit. Alright. She was gonna do this, if nothing else then to find out why Ryuu hated her so much! After Eri had explained all the details she went straight home to pack. It seemed her flight was tonight. Kai stopped at the super market to get things for dinner. When she got home she could here the shower running. Mr. Sakagami’s car was gone. They had already left. She quickly made dinner. When she had the table set, Ryuu came out in a pair of jeans and no shirt.
“How’s dinner?” He asked. It startled Kai.
“Oh, umm its fine. You can sit if you want.”
He sat down and waited for her to serve the food. He ate it within seconds and then left.
“Umm, wait! Ryuu!”
He stopped dead, he turned his cold green eyes one her. They could kill. Kai sighed; a whole week with his attitude was enough to drive her crazy!
Snow & Ice - A Hitsugaya Tale (Chapter 6)
Toshiro: Hitsugaya woke with a bit of a headache. He had paper work to do so he shrugged it off. He reviewed the training program that he and Hirataka had come up with the night before. It was more suited for her squad so the training would be cake for his. He made a few adjustments to it and set it aside. He figured Hirataka would soon make her entrance so he got as much done as he could. However the first disturbance of the day was not by his new noisy friend but his old one. Matsumoto charged in claiming she was ready to "work." Simply meaning she would be lounging around talking up a storm. Which was exactly what she did. He listened on and off making the occasionally comment, but he was bothered. It was almost mid-day and Hirataka was not here.
Alice: When Alice woke she iced her head before getting to work. No more news about the bounts had surfaced and she worried a little. Her squad members made short visits within the hours to say hi or ask for something. So this is what being a captain was like. She enjoyed the feeling for a while before Toshiro found his way back into her mind. She was no fool. She understood that she obviously had a feeling of some sort for him. But she couldn't describe it. He was cold and always serious never laughing or playing, and sometimes she wondered if he was right in the head for a boy genius. Despite all this though she still felt something for him. And it was far beyond hate and dislike. It was something stronger. The thoughts made her tingle. Be it with pleasure or the fear of the unknown, it could have been both. All her thoughts were racing and before she new it, noon had arrived. If she took any longer Toshiro would surely be upset. She gathered her belongings and ran off for the 10th squad barracks.
Toshiro: When she arrived he remained absorbed in his work. He was happy she had finally come, but the feeling lasted a mere second before rage filled him instead. She had clearly forgotten about him and to top it off she haunted his every thought. Not knowing what to do he did what he did know. Anger. And that was something he was good at. She tried to grab his attention but he simply brushed her off. Finally her pleading drove him mad."What!" he raised his voice high enough for her to sense his anger.
"Hitsugaya, what about the training? When do you wanna start?" She said it calmly as if he had not just presented himself angry.
"Do it alone," he spat back "Clearly thats how you work."
"Thats not fair! I have work to!" She protested clearly losing her patience with him.
"I do not need your help, was it not you that suggested we go our septate ways anyhow? Why does the outcome now matter?" He was angry and he noticed his words had hurt her so he sat back down and continued to work. She turned without another word and left him alone, upset.

Snow & Ice - A Hitsugaya Tale (Chapter 5)
The bounts are identified as threats and Toshiro and Alice get together to "Come up with a plan" (To the left is Alice - not owned by me, taken from google.)
"Hirataka, what is your squad planning to do?"
Toshiro was worried for them. There forces were weak as it was, but Hirataka was still injured. They had no way of knowing when the bounts would attack.
"Ummm, well I’m not sure. I think we should just train as hard as we can right now."
"That’s not good enough," Toshiro yelled. He hadn’t meant to yell, but for some reason he was angry.
"It's alright; I know if we train hard enough we will be fine. We have that substitute soul reaper in the world of the living right? He should keep the bounts at bay."
"Come with me Hirataka," Toshiro lead her to there barracks where he began creating a training regiment for there squads.
Alice: Alice played along with Hitsugaya’s idea. It took them all day and late hours into the night to create the training program. When it was finished she sat back with her tea. "Why did you want our squads working together Toshiro?"
"My name is Captain Hitsugaya, and I think it would be better if we trained together."
"OOOO, captain you have a crush" Rangiku stepped in with a huge grin on her face.
"What is it Matsumoto?" Hitsugaya was clearly angry.
"Oh, not much really, just wondering why Captain Hirataka is here at such a late hour." Rangiku smirked. She was having fun.
"Well Matsumoto, why don’t you sit down? I think me and Toshiro where...oh I mean Capitan Hitsugaya...where just about done here, right?"
Hitsugaya shrugged. He went back to his desk and sat down. He was tired. He laid his head back and in the right light he looked stunning. Alice found herself stealing glances at him while she and Rangiku talked. After a little bit longer she decided it was time for her to leave. She had a lot of work to do in the morning. Rangiku left and Alice started gathering up the papers they had been working on. It looked like Hitsugaya was asleep so she tried her best to be quiet. However, she hit a cup of tea and it spilled all over, breaking with the force of the floor. She looked up quickly, Hitsugaya lay still. *phew* She breathed out. She picked up the broken cup and went for a paper towel. It didn’t take her long to realize that she was not in her barracks. She scrambled but could not find a towel anywhere. She was afraid to go near Hitsugaya’s desk but it was the only place she hadn’t looked.
Slowly she moved towards the desk. She was almost there when all the sudden a cat meowed at her. She screamed the sudden noise in the otherwise dead quite room scared her. She tripped over her toes and landed on Hitsugaya. He woke with a grunt and the chair toppled.
Hitsugaya: He hadn’t quite fallen asleep when she had dropped the cup. He decided to try again. Then she snuck towards him but out of curiosity, he ignored her. But he could not keep his eyes shut when she had fallen on him, or when the chair had fallen. He looked down at Hirataka. Unfortunately he had landed on top. She had a small scratch on her face, and her kimono was ripped at the shoulder. He blushed. This was an awkward position. "Ummm, Are you ok?" he asked in almost a whisper.
"Ete! That really hurt," She opened her eyes and looked up at him. She was very pretty now that he had a look at her this close up. Her red hair and red eyes sparkled in the candle light. She was truly beautiful.
"Umm, I hate to bea bother but you wouldn’t mind getting up would you?" She asked him a bit skittishly.
"What? Oh ummm yeah." He got up and helped her off the ground. She brushed the dust off her hair and her kimono. "You okay?" he asked again.
"Mmhmm, just a little bump, ill be fine." Hitsugaya breathed out. He had been holding it in for so long. "I’m going to go to bed." He finished off the conversation and headed to his room.
Alice: She was so lying. He side was killing her. That fall had hurt like none other. Man was she in pain. She walked back to her barracks. It was cold out. But she was warm. The heat in her cheeks provided warmth for her whole body. Why had he been looking at her like that? She didn’t have the energy to dwell on the thoughts. She got to her room and went to bed. She had way more important things to think about.
