Snow & Ice - A Hitsugaya Tale (Chapter 10)

Toshiro: Toshiro blinked. Volunteers? Head Capitan must really up against the wall in this case. He didn't want to go but somehow he figured he would be made to. He stood there silent hoping someone would speak up. Then he remembered that Hirataka would want to help. He shoot her a quick "don't you even think about it" glance but it was to late. If she saw him, she ignored it. Her hand shot up immediately.
"I'll go!" She almost shouted. Her words resonated in Hitsugaya's mind.
He held back the urge to stop her, and instead responded with the slow raise of his hand. She looked over with a satisfied smile on her face. He had set her up! Before he could revoke his decision Head Captain Yamamoto spoke
"9th Squad Captain Hirataka, and 10th Squad Captain Hitsugaya, you will head out as soon as a senkimon can be opened. You are all dismissed. I suggest that you two get ready for your journey."
Hitsugaya walked back to his barracks. His was fuming.

Alice: This was serious. The Head Captain was asking for volunteers. Alice was satisfied, she had managed to get Toshiro to go as well. She would feel much safer if he were there. She went to her barracks and informed her squad of the coming events.
"Hisagi will stay here and lead if an attack were to come while i was still away. I don't need to tell you that he is granted every power i have until my return."
She went to her office to finish up the last of her paper work. Who were these bounts? And what reason did they have to attack? Alice was probably just as confused as the next guy. But something told her good things were far from them. And with Aizen still out there, anytime they could be faced with two major enemies. This needed to be taken care of, and fast!

...to be continued...
