Snow & Ice - A Hitsugaya Tale (Chapter 2)

Continuing where we left off. Alice gets a large assignment with two big ingredients. Hitsugaya Toshiro, and the world of the living. (I will start using 3rd person veiws and going between Histugaya and Hirataka)

Alice: This was so scary. Alice didn’t know what to do. She had only been captain for a month and already she was being sent to take care of meno grandees in the world of the living. She grabbed her zanpaktou and headed to the senkaimon to meet with Hisagi and her partners. When she got there she was a little shocked. The 10th squad captain and lieutenant were waiting at the gate. "Hello, are you the partnering squad for the mission in the world of the living?" she asked with a bit of hesitation. "Don’t be stupid; we wouldn’t be here if we weren’t" Hitsugaya spit back. "Captain!" Rangiku Matsumoto 10th squad lieutenant squealed. They waited for the gate to be open and quickly headed out.

When the reached the other side they were hit with multiple spiritual pressures. There had to be 5 or 6 strong menos in the area for it to be this heavy. They were easy to spot and the team immediately headed that way. They split by squads and took on 3 each. Hisagi went for the first one on there side and started out with trouble. The menos were indeed strong, it was clear they would soon be going up a level and would be no mere Gillian. Hisagi struggled with the first one but was able to defeat it. The remaining two had stronger spiritual pressures.
Alice went in for the kill.

Over on Hitsugaya's side they had managed to defeat one as well now everyone had one to deal with. It seemed things might be taken care of quicker then expected.
Alice continued on, it was hard to get to him. She had been hit with a cero but easily changed its course. If things kept on this way she would have to release her zanpaktou. Both Matsumoto and Hisagi had released but she was holding her own for the time being. "Captain look out!" Alice had lost concentration and was too late. The cero hit her head on. She used her hands to block some of the damage but there was no doubt she had been hurt. Hisagi started for her. "STOP! CONCENTRATE HISAGI YOU KNOW BETTER!" She yelled back at him.

Toshiro: Toshiro looked back at Hirataka. She was stronger then he had expected her to be. She was holding her own for the most part. When the cero hit she looked hurt. But he didn’t have time to worry about it know. His own Meno's took in for a swing. "Rain over the frosted heavens, Hiyorinmaru!" Toshiro took a lunge at the menos, he froze his arm but the menos broke free with ease. This was going to be harder then he had thought. Toshiro continued to battle with all his might. After what seemed like ages the menos fell. Matsumoto and Hisagi had also completed there battles as well. Hirataka seemed to be struggling. She wasn’t releasing her zanpaktou. Toshiro became aggravated.

Alice
: Alice was so confused. She had never been hurt this bad in a battle. She was scared for her life. Was this what being a captain was all about? She was fighting back as best she could. After seeing Hitsugaya's zanpaktou she was no longer confident. She had a similar style and she began to doubt her own power. She had made it to captain hadn’t she? So why hesitate now? She couldn’t understand. Loosing her train of thought she blocked another attack. Soon she would have to release; there would be no other option.
